(A+C) LOT OF 2: NOVELTY WELLS FARGO MARKED BAKER COACH GUN AND USP MARKED MOSSBE...

Lot consists of (A) Novelty Wells Fargo marked Baker Arms double barrel coach gun. Made circa 1890s. There is a spurious "W.F.&Co./No.5" centered on the left side of the butt stock. "NEW BAKER" marked on each side of the receiver. Matching serials on the frame, barrel and forearm. Damascus steel barrels cut down to 18 - 1/4". Bead front sight with sheet metal band on the muzzle, acting like sight protector. Standard blued finish on the frame, wearing to a nice patina. Walnut stock with checkering on the wrist and forearm. Checkered hard rubber butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finishes, with graying patina and mild freckling on most of the components. The fore end lug is broken and needs reattached. The butt stock has been repaired and glued around the lock/trigger guard. Stock has a few minor dings and scratches as well. Small chip at the butt plate as well. Bores have some pitting. Mechanically operable. (B) Mossberg 42M-B bolt action rifle. Made early 1940s and given to the British as Lend Lease aid during the war. "UNITED STATES/PROPERTY/SERIAL NO. 12722" stamped on the barrel and receiver. Typical Mossberg address on the barrel as well. British proofs on the barrel, bolt and receiver. Standard round barrel, with hooded front blade sight. Unknown, possibly British made, adjustable peep rear. Original blued finish on the metal components. Bolt has been polished. Wood stock has been lacquered. Includes 2 factory 5 round metal magazines, 1 being in the butt stock. Attached leather sling is unmarked. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with a few handling marks and scratches. There is some light surface rust on the metal components. Stock has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean under some powder residue, with very good overall rifling. Magazines are excellent. Mechanically fine. Sling has some crazing and wear.
