A BRITISH .56 PATTERN 1716 FLINTLOCK SEA SERVICE PISTOL CIRCA 1770 With shortened barrel, flat bevelled lock with 'GR' cypher and marked 'TOWER' on the tail, walnut full stock (some cracks), and brass mounts (iron parts with some pitting and discolouration, ramrod missing, barrel probably arsenal shortened), King's proof marks; together with THE STOCK AND LOCK OF A FLINTLOCK VOLUNTEER PISTOL OF NEW LAND PATTERN TYPE, early 19th century, with border engraved flat bevelled lock signed 'WOOD' (cock replaced, pitted), walnut full stock, and brass mounts including trigger-guard numbered '52' The first with 8¼in.
