Beschreibung:

A boxwood Napoleonic Prisoner of War model of a 90 gun Ship of the Line the hull built up from the solid with a copper painted bottom and the topsides painted in bands of black and white. Along the top of the bulwarks is decorated with a red and green floral pattern in polychrome. At the bow is an over-size polychrome figure head with one arm out stretched. The quarter galleries are carved and pierced and decorated in polychrome. The transom is similar to the quarter galleries in decoration but the arch at the top depicts a pair of figures holding hands. The decks appear to be of mahogany and have the deck planking scored. The decks are fitted with a number of details which include: anchors, pin and fife rails, capstan, belfry with bell, stove pipe, skylights, ladders, cannons on carriages, ships boats rigged outboard from the spars, etc. Rigged with three masts and a bow sprit, the rigging details include standing and running rigging, turning blocks, mast bindings, flags and other details.
