Second half 19th century Each piece painted with two reserves depicting pairs of putti frolicking on cloud banks, some playing musical instruments, while others tug on fabric drapes, one holding bow and arrow another brandishing flambeaux, all within a gilt cartouche edged with vines and scrolls on a duck egg blue ground embellished with gilt scrollwork, comprising a covered coffee pot, height 7¾in (19.5cm); covered sugar bowl with gilt interior, height 4in (10cm); covered hot milk pitcher, height 5½in (14cm); two-handled tray, length between handles 16½in (42cm) and two coffee cups and saucers, underglaze blue scepter mark on each, overglaze iron-red printed orb over KPM on all except one cup and saucer; hot milk pitcher and covered sugar with additional underglaze blue Prussian eagle seal; decorators red painted 4 on each except saucers and tray; gilders gilt cipher an a or d (?) on all except saucers; tray impressed X,W,3,1; coffee pot S,3,V,D and hot milk A,3,F.
