Log book includes aircraft flown, Tiger Moth; Hawker Hart; Fairey Battle; Miles Master; Hawker Hurricane; North American Harvard; Miles Magester; Vickers Wellington; and Bolton Paul Defiant. Log book includes training period conversion to Fairey Battle, Battle practice in Hawker Hurricanes, operations during late Battle of Britain period commencing October 27th 1940, conversion to Defiant with night operations from Wittering, Bramcote, Sutton Bridge, etc. Sorties include forced landings owing to engine failure, first night flying operational patrol March 13th 1941 with later "tally ho" incidents recording May 2nd 1941 first enemy aircraft destroyed, a Ju.88, all crew being taken prisoner.
