A 19th century French brass mantel clock with three train movement striking on two gongs, cross hatched gilt dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, the upright case with red side glasses, all over cast and engraved Baroque decoration of foliage, classical ruins, caryatids and grotesque masks, the platform top with two tigers with their prey, raised on four mask scroll supports with turned feet, 11 1/4in. (28.5cm.) high, movement a/f. *Condition:Pendulum suspension cord broken and requires replacement. Minute hand loose on dial. One striking hammer detached and the other bent. Surface rust to gongs. Movement will require repair. No backplate. Case good but dirty.
