Made by the J.J. Henry factory in Boulton, Pennsylvania. This musket is a probable continuation of his 1808 contract. Musket has smoothbore barrel with eagle over "P "and "V" proofs at breech. Walnut wood stock with three iron bands and iron hardware. The "HL" initials carved into cheek area. Flint lock marked "J.Henry Phila" at rear and eagle over "US" in front of cock. Iron ramrod. CONDITION: Overall aged patina with barrel having what looks to be vise marks near breech. Wood has aged finish with various handling and usage marks. Lock looks original and functions fine.
