A 17th Century style oak panel seated hall chair with crown carved top rail over a Tudor rose and barley-twist carved back, the plain seat on turned and barley-twist carved supports, 46 cm wide x 119.5 cm high, together with a 17th Century and later oak back stool, the fretwork carved top rail over a floral and foliate carved back panel and plain seat with moulded edge, on turned legs united by stretchers, 43.5 cm wide x 101.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Panel seated chair - the central back splat appears to be a later replacement. The panel seat is split. The back feet have been tipped, the two other back splats have been wedged in but appear to be original. There are minor losses throughout including to the finials. Signs of worm. One of the side stretchers is a later replacement. In need of a clean. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include minor losses, some small splits around the knots etc - see images for more details. The other chair has signs of old worm including to the seat. Both the front corners are badly disintegrated as is the front stretcher. Seat is also split. Losses etc throughout including to the feet and framework. Heavy wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details
