Beschreibung:

.36 caliber, serial number 4249, 7.5" round barrel stamped E. Whitney/N. Haven. Blued barrel, frame and cylinder. Cylinder engraved with cylinder scene. Provenance: Property of the former First National Bank of Fremont, Indiana Condition: Barrel is excellent retaining ca 85% original bright, blue finish. Frame retains ca 40% bright blue finish, with all of the shiny blue on the recoil shield, on the top strap and around the recoil shield. Blued finish is thinning on backstrap and butt. Loading- lever has ca 85% original case colors and are slightly thinning. Brass trigger guard has beautifully mellowed with a blackened and untouched look. Cylinder has ca 80% original blued finish. Hammer has ca 95% original cased coloring. Ivory grips with a beautiful mellowed untouched and uncleaned look. Whitney revolvers with ivory grips are rare.
