Backstrip restored; corners sl. worn. = Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Meyer (1782-1856), German botanist, studied the plants collected in the Dutch colony of Essequibo in Dutch Guiana by Ernst Carl Rodschied and those kept in the herbarium of Professor Franz Karl Mertens. In the present work he describes 344 species of the plants that he examined.
