C, joined 7/61; discharged for disability 12/62. A view of a “dead letter” Private is identified in modern pencil as Charles Atwood/6th Maine over McPherson, Bangor, Me. imprint. Corporal Atwood was reported MIA at Spotsylvania (5/10/64); no further record. We cannot vouch for the identification.
