Large broadside in Copper Monday style, rich ornamental temple frame, incorporating various vignettes incl. the portrait of Coster, 66x50 cm., composed by J.F. Thieme/Nijmegen, printed by H.C.A. Thieme/ Zutphen, C.A. Thieme/ Arnhem and C. Campagne Jr./ Tiel, 1823. = Rare, not in De Zoete/ Versteeg, Koppermaandagprenten. AND ±60 broadsides, ephemera, admission tickets and sm. publications and ±60 portraits and prints mostly 19th cent., partly published on the occasion of the 400th and 425th anniversary of the (imagined) invention of modern bookprinting by Coster in 1423. = Many publications on the festivities of the anniversaries in 1823 and 1856, with exhibitions, fireworks and the unveiling of the statue in 1856. And a small cut out autograph, reading "Laurens Jans zoon" in pen and ink. I.a. a large tinted lithogr. print by TH.
