(vol.3 in 2 parts), engraved general title, 2 leaves of letterpress with engraved head-piece and engraved dedication, each volume/part with engraved volume title and list of maps, all within decorative pictorial frames by Arrivet, 575 engraved maps and plans as called for plus 2 additional maps (numbered 92* & 95*) in vol.3, together 577 maps, c.230 double-page, all with coast hand-coloured in blue outline and with pale blue wash for sea, occasional light marginal spotting or soiling but generally very clean, plate 113 in vol.3 lightly stained, plates 91 in vol.3 and 58 in vol.4 cropped with slight loss at fore-edges, marginal worming to upper outer corner of vol.2 & 4 not affecting maps, contemporary tree calf, spines gilt in compartments with red and black morocco labels, rubbed, worn in patches, joints split, spine ends worn, 4to, Paris, 1764. *** Important atlas executed by the hydrographer J.N.Bellin; the number of maps varies.
