Wheatstone English concertina, with 48 keys and air release valve, pierced metal plates fitted to rosewood sides, serial number 25524, with original leather case. The concertina measures 16cm wide. Condition report: Generally good playing with plenty of volume. One key is missing. Two keys fail to play a good note when the concertina is squeezed together, a further two fail to play when the concertina is stretched out. No obvious signs of holes or repairs to the bellows however a feint feeling of air can be felt when the concertina is squeezed. There are two small vacant holes to the wood sides. The case is structurally sound but the exterior leather is perishing and one seam is coming apart on the lid.
