At the end are 30 pages of notes in which Rigault reports some of the variant readings from this important manuscript. Rigault's epistle to J. A. de Thou is reprinted from the edition of 1599, as is that from Pierre Pithou to his brother François, from the editio princeps of 1596. This pretty volume, elegantly printed in red and black throughout, is the most striking production of Robert III, and is universally agreed to be rare" (Schreiber). - "Sehr sauber, schwarz u. roth, gedr. u. zieml. selten" (Schweiger). - Leicht gebräunt, unten Wurmspuren, vord.
