20th Century School The Late Field Marshal Lord Ironside Watercolour, 49 x 39cm Signed indistinctly, label verso with sitters details Field Marshal William Edmund Ironside, 1st Baron Ironside GCB, CMG, CBE, DSO (1880-1959) was a British Army officer who served as Chief of the Imperial General Staff during the first part of the Second World War.
