Pardon Sheldon Jastram mustered into Co. C of the 1st RI Infantry on May 2, 1861, in response to Lincoln's first call for troops. He mustered out Aug. 2, and on Sept. 28 was commissioned into the 1st RI Light Artillery. He resigned in March, 1864. Verso of cdv with P.S. Jastram, AAAG, Artillery, 3d Corps, Aug,. 12, 1863.
