A Victorian 19th century and WWI First World War medal group awarded to one Arthur William Watkins of the Royal Navy. Comprising; Long Service & Good Conduct Medal (Victoria - Narrow Suspender - impressed to rim A. W. Watkins P.O.1CL. HMS Anson), East & West Africa Medal (Victoria - impressed 129454 A. W. Watkins BOY 1st Class HMS Icarus), 1914-15 Star (impressed 129454 A W Watkins C.P.O. RN), War Medal and Victory Medal (impressed same). Supplied with a copy of Watkins' service history. The vendor wishes to point out that Watkins is not listed as being awarded the East & West Africa Medal on the Medal Roll, but did indeed serve aboard HMS Icarus during the Yoni Expedition Nov 1887 to Jan 1888. All with original ribbons. Interesting medal group.
