Lance with tubular metal haft cut in two pieces. Original upper portion measures 43" with iron spear point and four brass pennant holders. A contemporary wooden dowel has been inserted into the base of the haft. The lower original section retains the brass grip base with maker's mark and serial number. A 9" bronze spear point has been mounted atop this section. A relatively simple restoration project to rejoin to two halves back together. Condition: Fair. Moderate to heavy pitting; dark patina with some large traces of original blued finish.
