Lot of 43 including: Pamphlet, Reports of the Committee Appointed by the Citizens of Cincinnati April 26, 1838 to Inquire into the Causes of the Explosion of the Moselle, published in Cincinnati n 1838. A scarce booklet, Two Great Raids: Col Grierson's Successful Swoop Through the Mississippi Morgan's Disastrous Raid Through Indiana and Ohio, with news articles printed from the Cincinnati Enquirer in 1897. Lithographed scene of Cincinnati, 9.25 x 13 in., featuring views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and riverfront, a crossing over the Miami & Erie Canal, stores of rifles and artillery, a steam fire engine, and the High Bridge over the Kentucky River along the line of the Cincinnati Southern Railway, as well as the name of Miles Greenwood / Born March 19th, 1807. Greenwood was the developer of the first practical steam fire engine and chief of the first professional fire department in the United States. A 1837 pamphlet for Atkinson's Casket or Gems of Literature, Wit and Sentiment. A 1969 guide by the U.S. Department of the Interior titled, Lewis and Clark: A Brief Account of Their Expedition. Collection of 9 modern printed pamphlets related to the Civil War battles and Abraham Lincoln. A map of London in 1616 and 1890 included as a supplement to Harper's Weekly in 1890 and a map of the Thames and by J. Stratford during Queen Elizabeth's reign. Collection of 17 paper bound books concerning early Ohio history and nature. Virginia Eifert's booklet, Log of the S.S. Delta Queen Cincinnati to Kentucky Lake and Kentucky Lake to Chattanooga Green Line Steamers Inc. William Henry Venable's Cincinnati Civic Code pamphlet published in 1907. The Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society 1944 pamphlet, Captain Cushing in the War of 1812. Federal Works Administration Pamphlet, Tales of Old Cincinnati, published in 1940. A booklet on the 1913 flood in Hamilton, OH. Condition: Most are in good to very good condition with full volumes, the Moselle pamphlet has some separation of the binding and the front two pages, the lithograph has some tears. All other items are in very good condition.
