Odometer Reading: 46,500 MoT Expiry: 17/01/2021 *Very rare late Radford Mini conversion *Re-commissioned last year and said to have excellent bodywork and basket weave decals *Radford-fitted electric tilt/slide sunroof Harold Radford was well-established with his Bentley and Rolls-Royce upgrades but by the 1960s his company had turned its attention to the Mini, whose interior, while functional, didn't necessarily find favour with the well-heeled who desired something more luxurious. While very much a part of the 1960s Mini (and swinging London) scene, it was still possible to buy a Radford-upgraded Mini in the 1990s. Here is one such example of those later cars. Re-commissioned and lightly restored following 15 years in storage the bodywork, black paint (with basket-weave decals) and trim remains in excellent order, with occasional age-related marks. The wheels have been re-furbished and have new tyres. Replacement bumpers in stainless steel have been fitted, as well as chrome headlamp 'peaks' which recall the modifications to those earlier cars. The leather seats have been re-Connolised while the dashboard and trim are described as very good and the headlining has been renewed. Engine starting, running and presentation are all ranked as very good and the running gear, including automatic transmission, suspension and brakes are again vendor-assessed as very good. The history is reported to be good and the private registration plate (valued at £700) is included. To Schedule a video condition report for this lot please click here
