Beschreibung:

Perceived, but not always accurately, as an Iron Curtain controlled volume producer of ride-to-work 2-strokes, the old established firm of Jawa actually enjoy a rich history. Just as with BSA, FN and Royal Enfield, Jawa evolved from Frantisek Janacek's armaments company in Prague, at the end of the 1920s. Janacek [JA] co-operated with Wanderer [WA], a motorcycle producer in Germany, from which evolved the first Jawa, a 500cc single with leaf spring forks. However, for the duration of Czechoslovakia's enforced Communist period Jawa's output was indeed restricted to worthy, unsophisticated, commuter type 2-stroke machines, with a fair reputation for durability. The original condition Jawa - last used in 2004 - is supplied with a set of touring luggage carriers and Austrian Model Certificate.
