Introduced in 1958, Honda’s classic C100 ‘step-thru’ gave millions of people the world over their first taste of two-wheeled mobility. Better built, more powerful and more reliable than the majority of contemporary mopeds while endowed with handling superior to that of the small-wheeled scooter, the C100 set new sales records for motorcycle production and spawned a host of derivatives. Introduced in 1978, one of the latter was the automatic transmission NF75 – a step-thru/scooter hybrid – which, unusually for a Honda, was powered by a two-stroke engine. This NF75 was purchased new by the current vendor’s husband. Always kept garaged, the machine has covered only 1,277 miles from new and is offered with Swansea V5C. The cylinder head and some body panels are missing and there is no battery or keys with this Lot, which is offered without reserve and sold strictly as viewed.
