Beschreibung:

The final phase of Triumph Twin development began in 1972 with the first appearance of the 744cc Bonneville, the increase in bore size of the new model necessitating a new crankcase to accommodate the larger barrel. The new model incorporated a new ten-stud cylinder head, triplex primary chain, more robust transmission and a disc front brake. The five-speed gearbox, introduced on the preceding 650cc Bonneville, was standard equipment on the 750cc. The Bonneville battled against strong competition from Japan and Europe and remained for many years the U.K.'s top-selling 750 and in 1979 was voted Motor Cycle News 'Machine of the Year'. This example was purchased by the present owner one year ago but health problems bring the machine back to the market. The bike is finished in black livery with red and silver tank detail and is described as in very good condition in all respects. It comes from a long-term classic motorcycle enthusiast and has recently been the subject of a service and MoT. It is offered with a Swansea registration document, MoT and licence to March 2011.
