CZ-Jawa’s two-stroke twins had already established a loyal following in the UK when they were updated in the mid-1970s, becoming - in the Jawa 350’s case - the Type 634. An increase in compression ratio and changes to porting raised maximum power from 19 to 28bhp on the 634/6 version, good enough for a top speed of over 80mph, while the adoption of ‘Oilmaster’ pumped lubrication, replacing the tedious and messy pre-mix, was a welcome advance. This example was delivered new in Austria via the official importer, Faber and purchased from its third owner in 2000 by Professor Ehn, who rode it regularly until 2004. In that same year the machine featured in the TV film, ‘Bockerer IV’ in which it was ridden by actor Wolfgang Böck - the Russian star on the fork is a memento of the filming. The machine is offered with Austrian Typenschein confirming matching frame/engine numbers.
