Beschreibung:

The heavily revised Corvette Sting Ray arrived in 1963 sporting a totally new ladder-type chassis, and for the first time there was a Gran Turismo coupe in the range. As had been the case with the previous (1956-62) generation of Corvettes, development proceeded slowly, being characterised by annual facelifts and few engineering changes of note. On the latter front, the long-overdue arrival of four-wheel disc brakes for 1965 was the most significant development before the 427cu in (7- litre) V8 engine option became available from 1966, cars so-equipped featuring a 'power bulge' hood. Further developments included the new options of a side-exit exhaust system and telescopic steering column, while fuel injection was phased out. Dating from the penultimate year of Sting Ray production - the model would be known as 'Stingray' from 1968 onwards. This 5.4-litre example was purchased from Corvette Collection of Pompano Beach, Florida in October 1997 for the vendor's wife who has, we are advised, used the car only sparingly. The car was restored in 1997/98 and has been serviced exclusively by Alexander Autos of Glasgow. Finished in Nassau Blue with white leather interior, it is described by the private vendor as in generally good condition and comes with current road fund licence/MoT and Swansea V5.
