Beschreibung:

Aimed at the US market, where British sportscars were enjoying considerable success, the Sunbeam Alpine was produced between 1959 and 1968. Built on the Hillman Husky II floorpan, the Alpine employed Sunbeam Rapier running gear and the same 1.5-litre, overhead-valve, four-cylinder engine found in many of Rootes’ other products. Progressively improved through Series II-V, the Alpine gained a 1.6-litre engine in 1960 and lost its distinctive tail fins in 1964 with the advent of the Series IV. ‘393 LTM’ is an example of that rarest of Alpines, the 1963-64 Series III. The car was completely restored by North Yorkshire classic car specialists Grundy Mack in 1997 and purchased from them by the current owner on 31st March 1998. Kept garaged, it has covered circa 7,000 miles since acquisition, being used regularly but infrequently and in dry weather only, and comes with all MoTs relating to the vendor’s period of ownership. Finished in British Racing Green with cream interior, the car has the desirable overdrive gearbox and is offered complete with tonneau cover, owner’s manual and badge bar. The vehicle will have been freshly MoT’d immediately prior to sale and possesses a Swansea V5 registration document.
