Left hand drive. During the postwar period Fiat S.p.A. became the biggest industrial firm in Italy and one of the largest in the world. Fiat's history dates back to its founding in 1899 by Giovanni Agnelli. Early in the century Fiat became known for its racing cars as well as for production models. Early racing successes included a victory at the Targa Florio and French Grand Prix in 1907. Fiat's reputation was mainly as a producer of little cars with two and four cylinder engines, both front and rear wheel drive. Although a trickle of Fiats entered the U.S. in the late 1940s and early 1950s, regular importation did not begin until 1957, with the 500, 600, 1100, and 1200 models. The 'Jolly' was sometimes referred to as a 'beach buggy' we like to think of it as the perfect 'Pebble Beach Buggy'. It has basket weave seats and fully open sides, it was described by Road & Track as akin to a modern day surrey with the fringe on top . The Jolly body was built and designed by Ghia in Italy. The Fiat Jolly offered here has been completely restored inside and out. The engine has been rebuilt and has less than 32,000 miles. The exterior has been repainted, all chrome refurbished and all the parts have been replaced back to original Fiat parts. As the name suggests this little car is a lot of fun. WITHOUT RESERVE
