Beschreibung:

This A10 Golden Flash was first registered on 12th January 1960. The machine’s history is unknown prior to its acquisition by one James Robertson of Howwood, Johnstone who owned it for an unknown period until it was bought by George Buchanan of Prestwick in November 1990. The vendor bought ‘468 KBB’ on 6th January 2000 and embarked on a total mechanical and cosmetic restoration including a full engine rebuild; magneto and dynamo overhaul; conversion to 12-volt electrics; wheels rebuilt with new stainless-steel rims/spokes; frame and forks powder coated; and all ‘tinware’ refinished in Ford Oyster Gold by Lewis & Templeton. In addition, over £700 was spent on stainless-steel nuts, bolts and fittings to ensure easy maintenance. In 2001 the BSA was entered in the Tourist Class of the Moto Giro d’Italia in the Dolomites, and for this event a Craven rack/pannier set and a fully enclosed chain case were fitted. Since then the bike has been used regularly by both the vendor and his son-in-law, attending VMCC rallies in Scotland, the Lake District and Ireland. The vendor’s advancing years have forced him to turn to lighter machines, hence the BSA is for sale. Presented in very good condition throughout, the machine comes with sundry restoration invoices, current MoT/road fund licence and Swansea V5 registration document.
