Originating from a private collection, this particular Norton is now on the market due to the owner having just very recently passed away; he apparently bought this machine direct from Ray Petty. Supplied new to a Mr. Whittaker on the 12th December 1957, this very original 350 machine could very well have been next to his Christmas tree for a very lucky new owner. Still wearing period Dunlop Racing KR 76 and KR73 tyres (the famous ‘triangulars’) on correct Borrani rims suggest that this machine has not been used for many years. It is believed that it was overhauled by a well respected Manx engine ‘tuner’ just a few years ago, but will, however, require re-commissioning before it races again. A very original machine with no obvious defects, flaws or non-period items this is a very rare opportunity to acquire an original Manx Norton.
