Beschreibung:

Located during Edwardian times in Austro-Hungarian territory the long-ceased brand was resuscitated in Germany in 1953, although the new company survived only until 1957. Production machines used engines exclusively from Sachs, amongst which was a model [seen here] with extensively enclosed bodywork. Whilst the machine's front end is part normal motorcycle [i.e. forks, headlight, handlebars] the small section wheel and mudguard is pure scooter. The unorthodox bodywork stretches from behind and below the headstock and, in the absence of any 'step thru' space, the Achilles cannot truthfully be categorised as either motorcycle or scooter, although the fuel tank and seat would not be out of place on the former. In a bold attempt to break the mould they were clearly out of touch with the market's requirement! Offered with German Logbook
