Beschreibung:

Odometer reading: 20460 MOT expiry date: N/A *Original and desirable restoration project *High compression engine US market model *Offered with a number of spare parts The Jaguar XK120 represents a sea change in post war sports cars, with its advanced twin cam engine and torsion bar front suspension giving hitherto unavailable performance and is a car well worth restoring, from an ownership satisfaction and financial point of view. It also benefits from a healthy spare parts supply, from Jaguar specialists, with many components being remanufactured. The property of a Gentleman Racing car driver who has his own in-house mechanic who has looked after his cars for a number of years, this XK120 Roadster project appears complete and is a matching numbers car, retaining its original cylinder head and block. Whilst in need of restoration, the body, which bears the number F 5070, appears to be in very good shape and has been part repainted at some point. The interior also appears to be in good condition, with the black vinyl seats appearing complete and usable, and with the black carpeting still in place The dashboard and instruments are largely complete and appear to be eminently restorable. There are a number of spare parts with the car, which was dispatched to the US in October 1952 where it has been spared the ravages of the UK climate, until being repatriated recently.
