Puch, a bicycle maker since the nineteenth century, expanded into both light and heavy transport before The Great War. Afterwards, bicycles and motorcycles formed most of the factory’s output, the majority being based on a design by Giovanni Marcellino for an ingenious twin-piston two-stroke with a common combustion chamber. Variations of this engine served into the 1960s. This Puch, preserved since 1969 by the Ehn museum as a reference for re-builders, was originally rescued from the hands of a scrap-man. In very original, un-touched, condition, it is an example of the in-line crankshaft Puch, its upswept exhaust and link rear springing adding a sporting appearance. It will need full restoration before use can be contemplated and is offered with some Austrian documentation.
