Beschreibung:

1929-30 Ty Cobb Signed Georgia Hunting License Framed With Original Photograph Ty Cobb's uncanny business acumen, which included a long and prosperous relationship with the Coca Cola Company, allowed him to retire from baseball a rich man. This enabled his unbridled pursuit of his other great passion, hunting. Apparently Cobb applied the same demeanor in hunting that earned him infamy on the ballfield. Onetime friend and hunting partner Ernest Hemingway reportedly ended his association with Cobb after he witnessed the Georgia Peach decking a hunting guide for taking them down the wrong trail. Offered here is a unique memento representing Cobb's most notable non-baseball sporting interest. This framed display includes his 1929-30 Georgia Hunter's License. The 6 ¼ by 4 inch (visible area) license includes Cobb's personal information and full Tyrus R. Cobb signature in black ink (8/10). Multiple folds and general wear indicate that it accompanied Cobb on many trips into the great outdoors. In perfect compliment to the license is an original vintage photograph of Cobb in his hunting garb, shotgun in hand, along with a canine companion. A sign next to Cobb reads "Rocky Creek" above a "Georgia Route 1" sign on a post. Framed and matted. LOA from PSA/DNA.
