Onetime friend and hunting partner Ernest Hemingway reportedly ended his association with Cobb after he witnessed the Georgia Peach decking a hunting guide for taking them down the wrong trail. Offered here is a unique memento representing Cobb's most notable non-baseball sporting interest. This framed display includes his 1929-30 Georgia Hunter's License. The 6 ¼ by 4 inch (visible area) license includes Cobb's personal information and full Tyrus R. Cobb signature in black ink (8/10). Multiple folds and general wear indicate that it accompanied Cobb on many trips into the great outdoors.
