Beschreibung:

In 1927 AJS were still striving for their first TT victory, although enjoying considerable success on the circuits. Their production machines were race bred and as well as catering for the sporting motorcyclist AJS produced standard production models aimed at the budget motorcyclist. The 1927 range included eight models catering for a broad market. The company enjoyed their heyday in the 1920’s before succumbing to the depression in the early 1930’s, leading to the acquisition of the company by the Collier Brothers. This side valve Model H4 was first registered with Cambridge County Council on 29th March 1927 and the buff logbook offered with the bike suggests it remained in that county until the 1960’s. It is attractively liveried in standard AJS black and gold finish and is equipped with acetylene headlamp and rear lamp, new leather panniers and has a hand-change gearbox. It has been the subject of restoration during the Geeson family ownership and is smartly presented and offered with old style continuation buff log book and a Swansea V5 registration document.
