(obverse) in “Commemoration Panama Pacific International Exposition San Francisco” (reverse). This medal was in the collection of San Francisco Mayor, James Rolfe Jr. so it is assumed it was presented to him in behalf of the City Administration by the committee, in appreciation for the city’s participation in organizing the P.P.I.E. The heavy medallion made by Shreve & Co. weighs 8-1/2 oz. and is ¼” thick by 3” in diameter,and is enclosed in a gilt ruled leather velvet lined box, stamped with the Shreve designation on the inner lid. Lot Amendments Condition: The medallion is fine, as is the box, but with a tiny bit of wear to the corners. Item number: 259006
