Lot of 6 cabinet cards of 1879 graduates of the United States Military Academy. All photos by G.W. Pach. Walter L. Finley. Born in Pennsylvania, graduated USMA 1879, commissioned second lieutenant in the 9th US Cavalry, service in New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma/I.T. Fought Apaches and served as Asst. Adjutant General of the District of Oklahoma. Henry A. Greene; two cabinet cards, including a solo portrait signed on verso, and another with an unidentified classmate. Born in New York, graduated USMA 1879, commissioned second lieutenant in the 20th US Infantry, service in Texas, Kansas, and Montana. William A. Shunk. Born in Indiana, graduated USMA 1879, commissioned second lieutenant in the 8th US Cavalry, service in Texas, New Mexico, Dakota, and Kansas. Participated in Geronimo campaign and served as cavalry instructor at Fort Leavenworth. Guy E. Huse. Born in New York, graduated USMA 1879, commissioned second lieutenant in the 4th US Cavalry, service in Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, and New Mexico. WIA by a bullet to the right leg March 15, 1883 near Fort Wingate, NM. Resigned Sep. 1, 1886. James O. Mackay. Born in Nova Scotia, graduated USMA 1879, commissioned second lieutenant in the 3rd US Cavalry, service in Nebraska, Wyoming Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, and Texas, and expeditions to Mexico. Condition: Very good.
