.45-70 caliber, 32.5" round barrel, S/N 53599. Blade front sight with ladder rear sight. Left side of receiver marked with patent date. Top of receiver marked with Remington address and serial number. Stock marked "9" forward of buttplate. Includes detachable box magazine, US marked bayonet, and scabbard with integral frog. Condition: Good condition. Barrel has taken on a dull green coloration, and has some wear and staining, especially on working parts, along with some light rust near muzzle. Barrel bands have a dark plumb patina. Lettering is weak but still mostly legible. Stock has some dents and marks consistent with age and use, with some cracking rear of bolt. Bayonet has some finish loss on the blade with the socket taking on a mixed plum and blue patina. Scabbard retains most of its original finish and the frog is flexible with some wear. Bore good with some pitting.
