The Athletics lineup includes Al Reach (considered the first professional player and founder of Reach Sporting Goods); Ed Cuthbert (attributed to have stolen the first base in 1865) and Levi Mayerle (who at .492 won the first batting title with the highest professional average ever) The Mutuals lineup included Dickie Pearce (inventor of the bunt), Joe Start (the first first-baseman to play off the bag), and Robert Ferguson (whose career from 1864 to 1891 included being a player, captain, manager, umpire and president of the National Association 1872-75). In very good condition, scored, with a Peck and Snyder advertisement on the back.
