1870-79 Bank Note used accumulation consisting of 141stamps (#145/191) with approximately equal numbers of the National, Continental and American Bank Note Co. issues, all three sets are complete with at least one and usually more of each value, some of the better issues we note are eight examples of the 24c Purple (#153) with some nice cancels and four of the 90c Carmine (#155), Continental has two of the 90c Carmine as does the American (#166, 191), one feature that makes the Bank Notes popular are the nice range of cancels that are present, we note NYFM cancels, geometrics and numerals, etc., and blue and red as well as black, condition varies with some small faults to be expected but many are quite well centered and fine-very fine; attractive.
