.69 caliber, 42" round barrel stamped VP. Lockplate stamped Springfield 1822 US with eagle. Buttplate stamped US on heel. Trigger guard region stamped BK. Sideplate region and underside of buttstock stamped with cartouche in the wood. Complete with two swivels and leather sling. Condition: This is an assembled musket from parts. All metal surfaces are pitted and have been cleaned with naval jelly leaving an ugly grey to the metal. All markings are crisp. Wood in nice condition with a few noticeable dings.
