1760-1940, a rather motley assembly containing much of interest, including pre-stamp period 1760 E. to "William Pitt, one of his Majesties Principal Secretaries of State" , 1839 E.L. from Mantanzas showing fine step-type "ROMNEY/SHIP LETTER", a range of fronts (about 50) many showing scarce h.s., line-engraved with 1843 E. bearing 1841 1d. pair cancelled "8" in Cross, 1847 E. bearing 1841 2d. strip of three, fine, 1850 registered cover bearing 1841 1d. and 2d. strip of three (cut-into), later line-engraved with covers and cancellation interest including experimental, "O.U.S." underprints (11, two on XU5), surface printed with 1887-92 5d. die I (4) on separate XU5 to India, a few K.E. VII with Harrison perf. 14 ½d. "A 11" control block of six in a scarce bright green shade, fine mint, 1d. aniline-pink superb used on small piece with c.d.s., K.G.V. with Wembley issues including 1924 1d. and 1925 1d. on first day cards and duplicated stationery items (30, mostly unused), also a few non-G.B. items including 1953 Comet Crash XU5 (2), etc., poor to fine
