Condition: Deckled edges (some deckles with minor staining to edges),gentle rippling, minor imperfections to paper (likely from the making of the paper or the printing process),floated within the frame, not examined out of frame. N.B. The sitter is Henry Geldzahler, a curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art whom Hockney had met at Andy Warhol's Factory in the early 1960s. The two became close friends and Hockney created a number of portraits of both Henry and his partner Christopher.
